The Kirby Lands

FnrrfYgmSchnish: Hey, saw your comment on my talk page. The game is freely available for download (it's on both Slime Salad and Castle Paradox), though it does have a password on it to prevent editing. (not anymore, TKL has been wiped from existence.) I'm somewhat puzzled as to what you intend to do with it, though. Remaking "The Kirby Lands?" In what way? Like, do you have specific ideas for what you'd want to do? I know I've basically abandoned the game and have no plans of remaking it, but I might be open to allowing a remake by someone else depending on some things.

The only problem is... some things (like Numnums, Blurbys, most of the enemies, almost all of the playable characters) are still used in one form or another in my more recent games, and I'd rather not have other people making games with them. And honestly, a lot of things in the game (the white round guys being referred to as "Kirbys," most of the dialogue, Killer Kirby's random personality change in the 2nd half of the game... okay, almost everything about the 2nd half) kind of embarrass me now looking back and I'd rather not see these aspects duplicated if a remake ever was made, even if I wasn't the one who made it.

But anyway... just go into as much detail as possible about what you intend to do with the game and I'll get back to you about it. I know I did approve an edited version of the game way back in the mid-2000s when the game wasn't so old (basically just all the enemy sprites changed in some way--Grande Snail became Funky Snail and was tie-dye colors, for example), but that never actually went very far to my knowledge. So there's a possibility I might not be against whatever you have planned.
