If you are not ready to start your own game yet, try playing some other people's games.

Remember that you can press F1 on any screen to view the help!

Next, read the HOWTO. It gives you a tutorial on how to create your first game, and how to work with a few of the menus.

After you feel comfortable with the simple stuff, then you might consider reading about Plotscripting
