Talk:How do I make enemies have specific targets?
Raekuul: There was a question on CP about this particular topic... I don't recall the author of the thread/post, but it led to the subggestion of a few bitsets, namely Don't target enemy slot # in the attack bits. Question: Would such a bitset option be efficient?
Bob: I kinda like that idea. it is a bit of a hack, but it is nice and simple, and gets the job done... Ooh! And there are exactly enough "placeholder" bits in the attack data that we could use them as target disabling bits for all eight enemy slots and all four hero slots!
Bob the Hamster: Before I remove the WIP tag, does this one actually work in ubersetzung? I have not given it any testing...
The Mad Cacti: I don't know, but related to the article, why not add "Target only..." and "Don't target..." options/submenues to attacks (or maybe enemies) instead (with multiple enemies and heroes selectable). Everyone is bitset crazy. Bitsets are not the solution to every problem. This seems a much better idea than using slots - targeting anything with slots is hacky, more work, and falls down in the breeze if you want spawning.
